General Summary
The Senior Tax Accountant will report directly to the Tax Director. The Senior Tax Accountant is primarily responsible for the preparation of the federal and state income tax returns, quarterly and annual tax provision analysis and estimated payments, but will also assist the Tax Director with a variety of tax research, projects and initiatives.

Principle Roles and Responsibilities
|
- Prepare the Federal Form 5471's (Information Return of U.S. Persons With Respect To Certain Foreign Corporations) for a number of wholly owned foreign subsidiaries.
- Prepare and submit Federal and state tax returns, extensions and estimated tax payments including supporting documentation.
- Preparation of the income tax accounting (tax provision) work papers. Obtain the necessary information from the domestic and foreign subsidiaries to complete the provision work papers. Prepare the deferred tax entries and roll forward the inventory of deferred tax assets and liabilities and tax contingencies for each subsidiary.
- Preparation of transfer pricing studies and assist with preparation of documentation for intercompany transactions.
- Miscellaneous compliance and research related to IRS and state audits, unclaimed property, depreciation, sales and use tax, Forms 1099-MISC payroll, property tax, and state registration matters.
- Assist the Tax Director with the implementation of tax planning projects and tax research in support of tax planning and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies and streamline the required effort. Develop and coordinate Sarbanes-Oxley documentation, departmental policies, procedures and processes.

Job Specifications
|
|
Knowledge
|
- At least 4 years of corporate tax experience in a public accounting firm or large Multinational Corporation is required.
- A BA or BS in Accounting is required. An advanced degree in Taxation and/or a CPA certificate would be helpful, but is not required.
- Must possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Detailed knowledge of the RIA InSource RS tax preparation system would be a plus.

|
- Strong analytical and written and oral communication skills are a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively in a collaborative effort with colleagues.
- The ability to learn new software and financial systems quickly is a must.
