Please read these rules before entering any Targus Give-Away. By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these rules and represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements.

1. Prizes. ALL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. All prizes will be awarded. The odds of winning the prize will be determined by the number of eligible entries received throughout the Targus Give-Away period.

2. Eligibility. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THE TARGUS GIVE-AWAY IS OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OVER THE AGE OF 18. Employees and other representatives of Targus, Inc., their affiliates, and advisers and the immediate family members of each) are not eligible to win. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Offer void where prohibited. Targus Inc. can accept only those entries that are completed and submitted in the format designated below. Targus Inc. will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive entries owing to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control or (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Targus Give-Away.

3. Entries. To be eligible to win the prize, submit your name/mailing address/phone number/e-mail address and any applicable information at http://www.targus.com/promo_thinkpad.asp. Entries will be entered only once. You may also send entries by standard mail to the address listed in paragraph 7. In the event of any dispute, all entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the entry information from which they were sent. Entries must be received by 12:00 a.m. of the ending date, listed on the main Targus Give-Away page.

4. Winner Selection. The winner will be determined by a random drawing from all eligible entries received and will be held at Targus Inc. offices two (2) days after ending date, listed on main Targus Give-Away page. The prizewinners will have seven (7) days from notification to respond to the e-mail. If a selected winner is unreachable or ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to return an executed affidavit and consent in a timely manner, the winner will forfeit his or her prize and the prize will be awarded during a later Targus Give-Away.

5. General Release. By entering the Targus Give-Away, you release Targus Inc., and its respective affiliated companies , directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agencies from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Targus Give-Away or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light).

6. Affidavit. As a condition of receiving any prize, winners will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and, unless prohibited by applicable law, consent to the use of their name, address, likeness, and/or prize information for promotional and other purposes without further payment, except where prohibited by law. By entering the Targus Give-Away, unless prohibited by applicable law, entrants consent to being placed on Targus Inc. mailing list.

7. Winners List and Official Rules. To obtain the name of the winners, send a request (along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope) to Targus, Attention: Targus IBM ThinkPad Give-Away, 1211 North Miller Street, Anaheim, CA, 92806. To obtain a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address, Attention: Rules Request. Residents of WA and VT may omit return postage.

8. Miscellaneous. The Targus Give-Away and all accompanying materials are copyright (c) 2002 by Targus Inc. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Targus Inc., which are final and binding in all respects. Targus Inc. reserves the right to change these rules or cancel the Targus Give-Away at any time, at its sole discretion.
