New Targus external CD-ROM adds speed and convenience
|
The new external CD-ROM drive from accessory specialist, Targus Australia, makes full use of the latest USB technology to deliver genuine 24X read operation.
Slim and compact, the CDROM Slim External USB 2.0 complements any notebook, sub-notebook, tablet or even desktop PC. Ideal where the computer is not fitted with an internal drive, this neat little Targus product (14.2 x 1.9 x 15.5cm and weighing 414 grammes) is completely plug 'n play. The first time it is connected, the notebook recognises the device and treats it just as a built-in drive.
The easy hot plug installation means it can be connected and disconnected while the notebook is in use, and the simple, Y-cable USB connection complete with a mouse "pass through" means no tangled wires or clumsy 'power bricks'.
With an expected retail price of only $ 249, the CDROM Slim External USB 2.0 drive, allows fast reading of any CDROM based data or music.
Bootable with the majority of notebook and PC computers, the drive is compatible with Windows 2000, ME, XP and Mac OS 9 and higher. It carries a full year's warranty.
