Targus Australia has released a compact Auto/Air power adaptor (APD24US) designed specifically for the Apple iPod. Using the current 30-pin docking connector, the lightweight (85g) auto/air power charger can be used in cars as well as aeroplanes equipped with the Empower seat connectors.
