Anaheim, California, January 2003 -- Targus founded the category of computer carrying cases in 1983, and continues in its 20th year to lead this and its other portable computing product categories in over 145 countries around the world. With the acquisitions of PORT and Roundhouse along the way, Targus' product offering has expanded over the years to include a complete line of mobile computer accessories, PDA cases & accessories, media storage, digital camera, and portable DVD cases. The carrying case line has grown to include over 100 different products, including over a dozen portable computing backpacks and rolling cases.
