Targus is dedicated to reducing our impact through the use of innovative production techniques and new materials that help to reserve the environment for future generations.

With the sale of every EcoSmart™ Grove bag, Targus contributes a percentage of the revenue to The Conservation Fund, a non-profit organization that plants trees as part of a sustainable managed reforestation project. Through reforestation, The Conservation Fund's Go ZeroSM program helps companies understand and reverse their carbon footprint to reduce global climate changes related to the emission of greenhouse gasses.

Targus is also proud of the partnership we’ve had with Dell Inc. through the company's "Plant a Forest for Me" program, which enables organizations worldwide to share best practices, and as partners, offset the carbon impact of the electricity required to power computer equipment by planting trees in sustainable, managed reforestation projects.

To promote the research of improved energy-efficacy within our environment, Targus has been a supporter of the World Solar Challenge for the 2007, 2008 and 2009 seasons, sponsoring the Contiuum car, and the Infinium car, both developed by the University of Michigan. The award-winning Continuum team consists of talented students who built and raced the solar-powered vehicle in competitions around the world, while the Infinium team took the checkered flag at both the World Solar Challenge in Australia and the North American Solar Challenge, where they beat out the competition by an impressive lead. Targus applauds the hard work of these students and their diligence in exploring solar energy.
