LAS VEGAS, NV - January 07, 2008 - 2008 CES (Las Vegas Hilton, Suite # 308) - Targus® Inc., maker of the world's top-selling laptop computer cases and accessories, today announced its new LCD Display Arms. The multi-positional arms provide the ideal ergonomic solution, allowing users to position their LCD monitor in a variety of ways to help reduce eye and neck strain. The monitor arms also help organize desk space by removing cable clutter for a more functional workstation. Whether your desktop is equipped with one LCD monitor or two, Targus has a mounting arm to suit your needs. The Single LCD Display Arm (AWE32US) supports one LCD monitor with a weight capacity of up to 13 pounds. The Dual LCD Display Arm (AWE33US) can support two LCD displays with a total weight capacity of up to 26 pounds.
"Computer monitors can often dominate an entire workspace, leaving users with little or no room on their desks for office supplies or personal items," said Mike Kroll, director of product management-accessories at Targus. "The new LCD Display Arms offer a way to clear out the clutter while providing unmatched adjustment and range options for optimal viewing at a very affordable price, making our customers' everyday work life more productive."
Constructed of brushed aluminum, Targus' new Display Arms are easy to assemble and include Bolt Through and Desk Clamp mounting options. The LCD Display Arms can be moved in any direction and feature a greater tilt angle for better backward and forward movement. A flexible arm allows you to adjust the monitor horizontally or vertically for maximum viewing comfort. In addition, users can rotate their LCD up to 95 degrees and pan up to 180 degrees. The arm can rotate 360 degrees for multiple viewing positions. Both display arms are VESA compliant, to offer a wide range of compatibility options with almost all LCD manufacturers. The arms measure 17.25" tall by 16.25" wide where the monitors attach.
The single monitor arm weights 3.5 lbs and the suggested retail price is $119.99. The Dual LCD Display Arm is 5 lbs and the suggested retail price is $199.99.
